இந்திய ஏழ்மையை வைத்துக் கொண்டு குழந்தைகளை வியாபாரப் பொருட்களாக மாற்றுவது: இந்திய கிருத்துவ மிஷன் மையம் அயல் நாட்டு நன்கொடைப் பணம் மூலம் நடத்தப் பட்டு வருவதாக அதன் இணைத்தளம் அறிவிக்கிறது[1]. ஒரு பில்லியனுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட இந்திய மக்கட் தொகையில் 15 கோடி சிறுவர்-சிறுமியர் ஏழ்மையால் வடுவதால் அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றவே தாங்கள் உள்ளதாக சொல்லிக் கொள்கின்றனர்[2]. ஆகவே ஏசுவின் பெயரால் அவர்களுக்கு சேவை செய்கிறோம் என்று இந்த மிஷனரிகள் இறங்கியுள்ளார்களாம்[3]. பாவம் அவர்கள் நாட்டில் சிறுவர்-சிறுமியர்கள் சிறுவயதிலேயே சீரழிகிறார்கள். குடித்து, கும்மாளம் அடித்து, கல்யாணம் இல்லாமல், கன்னித்தாய்களாக குழந்தைகளைப் பெற்றெடுத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், அவர்களின் ஒழுக்கத்தைப் பற்றிக் கவலைப் பட்டாமல், இந்தியக் குழந்தைகளை காப்பாற்றுகிறோம் என்று சொல்லிக் கொண்டு உண்மையில் இந்தியக் குழந்தைகளைக் கெடுக்க வந்துள்ளனர்.

ஒரு குழந்தையை தத்து எடுத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்: இப்படி விளம்பரப்படுத்தி, பல இந்தியர்களிடமிருந்தே பணத்தை வசூல் செய்து விடுகிறார்கள். இதற்கு, சில நகரங்களில் “மார்க்கெடிங் ரெப்ரெசென்டேடிவ்” போல இளைஞ்சர்கள் வீடு-வீடாக வர ஆரம்பித்துள்ளனர். “ஒரு குழந்தையை தத்து எடுத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்” என்று பல குழந்தைகளின் புகைப் ப்டங்களைக் காண்பிக்கிறார்கள். ஒப்புக் கொண்டால், மாதம்=மாதம் குறிப்பிட்ட தொகையை செல்லுத்துமாறுக் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறார்கள். ஆனால், பெரும்பாலும், அக்குழந்தை என்னாகிறது அல்லது அப்பணம் எப்படி செலவழிக்கப்படுகிறது என்று அறிவதில்லை. பணக்காரர்கள், பென்சனர்கள், வயதானவர்கள் ஏதோ குழந்தைகளுக்கு உதவுகிறோமே என்று நினைத்துக் கொண்டு திருப்தி பட்டுக் கொள்கின்றனர். ஆனால், இவ்வாறெல்லாம் நடக்கிறது என்று அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியாது.

Their website gave the impression that they were looking after the children well, he said. But when Briggs visited the home at Paruthikadu, he was shocked. I saw children working and doing all kinds of jobs around the place instead of going to school, he said. One girl was allowed to go to school only once a week. She was used to cook and clean. This prompted Briggs to lodge a complaint with the American director on ICMCs international board of directors when he returned home. The wardens hardly talked to the children; nobody taught them how to maintain personal hygiene and they were also beaten up, he told TOI. In a report published on Monday, The Times of India detailed the pathetic and unhygienic conditions of the home where the children lived. The hostel children are engaged for various jobs, including coconut peeling and cleaning the mango groves, said Malliga (name changed), who worked there as an ayah (helper) for four years from 2007. The food served to the children was also far below standards. Lunch and dinner here is usually rice with sambar or rasam, she said. The children are not given any vegetables in the form of kootu or poriyal. They rarely get non-vegetarian food like chicken or mutton. Meat dishes are only given during Christmas and much of it goes to officials and workers. Childrens illnesses are also neglected. Young children infected with scabies, fungal infection and fever were not given proper medical care, she said. They would be taken to hospitals only as a last resort when matters became critical. Instead the older inmates at the hostel took care of them. Malliga also alleged that sexual misconduct led to many female workers quitting their jobs. Many teenage girls and female workers are subjected to sexual harassment by the male staff members, wardens and workers there, she said. According to police records, the leader of the organization, Reverend Jayaraj S Krishnan, was accused of sodomy five years ago. On July 2 this year, a female inmate, studying in Class 8, escaped from the hostel at 4am, alleging that four staff members attempted to rape her. An electrician was arrested, but later released when the case was withdrawn. Refuting the allegations, Reverend Jayaraj accused local rivals of trying to frame him. Contradicting the allegations of negligence, child labour and physical abuse, he said, Sometimes children run away and when they are caught by the wardens,they threaten them. If anybody beats them up, we will sack them. Records at the social welfare department office in the town showed that the home was last inspected in the year 2010. An inspection was done then for registering the home, said M Akhilandeshwari, protection officer for the district. Devaki, the probationary officer, who visited the home last week, prompted by activists, said, So far, they have never notified the child welfare committee about the orphans that they have taken in and even poor children. • 50-60-70 வயதுகளில் செக்ஸிற்காக இப்படி அனாதை இல்லங்களில் வளர்க்கப் படும் குழந்தைகளையே விபச்சாரிகளாக மாற்றி வரும் இவர்களை  என்ன செய்வது?

• செக்ஸ்-டூரிஸம் என்று வேறு வரும் கிருத்துவ சாமியார்களுக்கு, இவர்கள் காணிக்கையாக்கப் படுகிறார்கள்.

• தொடர்ந்து இப்படி பற்பல குற்றங்கள், சட்ட மீறல்கள், முதலியன வெளிப்பட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தாலும், கிருத்துவர்கள் ஏன் மாறாமல் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று தெரியவில்லை.
